Some people have a name that is very common, and some have a unique name,
like Deborah Prussel. There is only one Deborah Prussel on the internet.
My name is Bruce Kauffman. There are a number of us, but not too many.
I never met another Bruce until high school, and I've only met one other
Bruce Kauffman. Recently I was mistaken for another Bruce Kauffman. Thanks
to the internet, I let them know, and they found the right one not too far
from me (though he is unlisted).
It made me decide to publish here
the other Bruce Kauffmans I could find on the internet. Maybe some other
Bruce Kauffman will find this page and let me know. I'm only including
those who spell our last name the same way - there are a number of ways to
spell it.
For me, I am S. Bruce Kauffman, and there is another mentioned several places
on the internet. We find that he was a distinguished graduate of Manchester
College in Indiana, he got a Ph.D from the University of Chicago, went the
academic route, then got an MBA from University of Pennsylvania, and worked
on Wall St. Plus he was a great singer, and, at one time, a great tuba
player. Sadly he died June 21, 1996. The links include this one here from Penn.
Another place tells
us he has written on religion and we find him and his books here and here.
The SEC has him
as managing director at Goldman Sachs.
Sadly, though, we see he also passed away and thus they have the
Bruce Kauffman Scholarship Fund in his memory.
Now onto the other Bruce Kauffmans. The most well known Bruce Kauffman is
Bruce W. Kauffman, a
U.S. District Court Judge, a former Pennsylvania Supreme Court Justice, and a
partner in Dilworth, Paxon, Kalish and Kauffman law firm in Philadelphia.
Here is a photo. The bio is not
his, but the photographer's. One confusion about his name is highlighted in
this Facebook page,
which is for Bruce C. Kauffman and now merged with Bruce W. Kauffman.
There is another Bruce W.
Kauffman with the Tennessee Department of Agriculture, Forestry Division.
You can reach him
here. He may also be the president of the Tennessee Entomological
Society.
Bruce Kauffman was a staff writer at the North County Times in San Diego,
which is now part of the
San Diego Reader.
He also once said:
"I've defected from
CNN (the second time in nine years)," and was then heading up the
Atlanta bureau for Thomsom, the Canadian media company.
In Hartford, the same Bruce Kauffman "was a reporter for the daily Hartford Courant and a
founding reporter and editor for the the weekly Hartford Advocate,
the alternative in Central Connecticut," but the link is no longer available.
This same
Bruce Kauffman
is probably the one who taught journalism at Clark Atlanta University.
Here's a short
bio.
And then I wonder if he is also the Bruce Kauffman journalist at
The Coast News
in Encinitas, California.
Also in Connecticut there was another
Bruce Kauffman,
who sadly died on March 4, 2012.
I see these Bruce Kauffman folks like to write, as we have one as the editor
of the
Boomer Bulletin,
which is for the Boomer TV show.
Another Bruce Kauffman who also died in 2012 at 83, from Ohio and Florida, is
Bruce Robert Kauffman.
An article was published in the
Reading, Pa Eagle by another Bruce Kauffman.
This Bruce Kauffman is an ecologist in the State of Washington. You'll
find him referenced in this document. There is also
Bruce Kauffman, a Washington State Fish & Wildlife biologist referenced
here.
He might be the same Bruce Kauffman in
this
forum for members of the International Association of Penturners. Penturning
is apparently a branch of woodturning.
Bruce E Kauffman is a law partner at
Kauffman & Forman
in Baltimore, Maryland; though he was born in Camden, NJ. He is also listed at
Spoke.
He is probably the one asking a question in this
video .

here
in Maitland, Florida.
This Bruce Kauffman is a
Gynecologist

In southern New Jersey, is

wedding anniversary for his parents. And
here
he is, at another of those anniversaries.
Going back a little,
this Bruce Kauffman was born in 1899 in Allegheny, Pa. But this family
database doesn't tell us much more about him.
In Albuquerque, New Mexico, Bruce Kauffman had been said to own or represent
the
Music Mart , but he is not mentioned there now.
Bruce R. Kauffman was mentioned in the 1951 graduating class at the
College of Wooster, but that is no longer on the internet. He was listed as a
crew member of a Tank Landing Ship, which is also no longer on the internet.
He may be the same one who is the director of the
Boca Raton Public Library Foundation.
Bruce Kauffman was chair of the Lebanon County Fire Department
and runs
Kauffman Fire
Equipment, although his name is no longer mentioned with either.
Bruce C. Kauffman is a 2002 retiree of Binghamton University in New York, as
janitor, but that is no longer listed on the internet. He is probably the
Master at Arms USS Boxer Veterans Association in Binghamton.
Bruce Kauffman wrote
Seed,
a book of poetry. This Bruce is the same poet from Canada on
YouTube and is the
editor
for The North Shore Series of Hidden Brook Press. You can read more about
him
here
and
here.
His books can be found at
Amazon and
Goodreads among other places.
He was also an editor for the
Poiesis Poetry Guide.
This Bruce Kauffman also has a radio show in Ontario,
Canada on 101.9
FM.

passed away in 2010 at age 82 and Bruce E. Kauffman Jr.
passed away in 2011 at age 64.
Another former Bruce Kauffman from Pennsylvania is
Cleon Bruce Kauffman who passed away in 1950.
A Bruce H Kauffman, from Arizona,
died in 2000. He had been a Staff Sergeant in the Korean War.
I said I wasn't including other spellings, but here is a
history site by Bruce Kauffmann, a columnist and historian. I've seen
his column in the Tribune-Star (www.tribstar.com) of Terre Haute, Indiana.
They have his bi-line as Kauffman, and later as Kauffmann.
historylessons.net has it as 'nn' and his home is Alexandria, Virginia.
For instance
here it is in TribStar as both Kauffman and Kauffmann.
Also from Virginia, we find a Bruce Kauffman in this
obituary of his father.
As an athlete, there was a page on Michele Kauffman at Penn Athletics, and
it mentioned that her parents are Marti and Bruce Kauffman, but the page is
gone.
There's a listing for a
Bruce Kauffman
who is interested in World War I modeling.
An obituary from Martinsburg, Pennsylvania mentions a
Bruce A.
Kauffman who died in 1972. A previous internet listing had
mentioned him as razing the "king of barns". He is a Mennonite.
Bruce Kauffman is also a superintendent of the swine (pigs) committee in Iowa.
Here his name is
spelt like mine, but that must be a mistake because on on
Facebook and his own
site there is only one 'f'.
If you wish, there's a Bruce Kauffman in Idaho you can follow on
twitter.
Dun and Bradstreet has
Bruce Kauffman owning a dairy farm in Shawano, Wisconsin. Well, a previous
site said it was a dairy farm.
Also in Wisconsin, in Black Creek, we have the
Dun and Bradstreet
and
Angie's List for the
Bruce Kauffman Construction company. He and his wife are also
puppy breeders,
unless there is another Bruce Kauffman in Black Creek.
In California we find Bruce Kauffman providing us his
resume
on LinkedIn as a Manufacturing Engineer.
And we're not confined to the U.S., as here is one found in
England.
Switchboard.com and
Whitepages.com
list 42 of us. They say 49 but some were easy duplicates to spot. We've got
Massachusetts, 2 in Connecticut, 3 in New Jersey, 2 in New York, 7 in
Pennsylvania, 2 in Georgia, 3 in Florida, Ohio, 2 in Indiana, Michigan,
Illinois, 5 in California, 2 in Washington, Maine, 2 in Maryland, 2 in
Delaware, Tennessee, Colorado, and Virginia. Of course some more can be
duplicates.
Peoplefinders.com
lists 20 of us. We've got Connecticut, New
Jersey, 6 in Pennsylvania, Georgia, 2 in Florida, 2 in Indiana, Michigan, 2
in Illinois, California, Washington, Maine, and Maryland.
Of course, again, some can be duplicates. My
experience with PeopleFinders is that most is accurate, but occasionally it
has wrong information.
LinkedIn
lists 16 of us. You can find these above, but get more information on them
here.
Facebook
lists 26 of us. You can find these above, but get more information on them
here. I suspect some without photos may be duplicates.
